Episode 93: “Endure & Survive”

This week, we’re sharing the first half of a two-part series on Naughty Dog’s magnum opus, The Last of Us, Pt. II. I’ve been looking forward to this game for, like, 7 years now and, since it finally arrived, the most auspicious way I could think to celebrate was by inviting a couple buds on the program to talk about its politics, its motifs, and its heart. Probably goes without saying, but there are spoilers throughout this discussion. So, if you wanna go into the game clear-eyed and with no information given away, by all means: go listen to one of our other episodes in our back-catalogue or check out one of our sisters shows on the CZN and come back to this later. In this first chunk of my conversation with Kaleb and Jordan, we talk about consent, bodily autonomy, cycles of violence, death, grief, rage, gameplay, and a whole lot more.  Support Coffee with Comrades on Patreon, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and visit our website.
